Let de Groove Rise Up

A New Groove

Let de Groove Rise Up is ready to rise again, remixed and kickin'!

Marley's Ghost's second album was originally recorded in 1989 and pressed again in 1991. It's sold out, but not for long. It will be available mid-September, if not sooner.

This version of Let de Groove Rise Up is better than ever, updated in digipack. It includes a booklet of lyrics.

“Since it was time to get another pressing run of Groove, we thought, why not re-master while we’re at it?” Sage sound engineer Daniel Protheroe said. “After reviewing the master tapes we thought - there’s a lot of great music here, this would be fun to remix. We didn’t have anything else scheduled in the studio for the next couple of weeks, and we were just dying to try out this neat sounding new equipment.”

While remaining true to the original vision, the new mix reveals performance subtleties not obvious in the original. “We weren’t trying to make it different or necessarily better, we had the opportunity and wanted to see where these old tracks would lead us," Daniel said.

While Sage sound engineers Daniel Protheroe and Matthew Gephart did the remixing, Dan Wheetman of Marley's Ghost was doing a lot of backseat driving.

Let de Groove Rise Up is scheduled to be pressed in time for the Walnut Valley Festival in mid September. We'll keep you posted.
